Ambassadors

KTA Ambassadors seek to serve our community as well as educate visitors about the mission, vision, and rules of the Kingdom Trails network.

The Kingdom Trails Ambassador Program was founded in 2006. 

Throughout it's 15 years, the program has taken on many iterations from weekend volunteers to full time EMT staffed Bike Patrol covering the trail network from the lift accessed Burke Bike Park to Darling Hill, to it's current status of a 7 day a week staffed program coordinated by a full time Head Ambassador.

In 2020, with the rise of Covid, our Ambassadors shifted to keep our community safe by greeting all trail users at our parking and pinch points, advising visitors of our new operating policies. In compliance with the state’s order, Ambassadors asked about health, where visitors traveled from and where had they traveled recently. They worked on the frontlines, making certain KTA users did not risk the generosity of our landowners and community by breaching this trust. We are truly grateful for their flexibility and effort.

Through engagement and education, KTA Ambassadors serve to advise trail users on KTA policies to protect our community, landowners and precious natural resources. By utilizing the Ride With Gratitude code of conduct as a standard for a common understanding and respectful behavior, Ambassadors work to encourage a culture of respect.

In 2020, KTA made a commitment to our land-owners and community to expand our already existing Ambassador program to share our Code of Conduct, Leave No Trace ethics, and inform users that they are on private property and to be respectful. 

With sustainability through access and community support as the long term goal, we rely on our Ambassadors as an integral role within the Kingdom Trails culture.
