1/24 Grooming Report

January 24, 2020
We've had a nice calm week of weather since the last snowfall which gave the crew time to work the trails and get things in primetime shape. The last storm dropped enough snow for us to break trail on the Ware's Davis? trail, bringing our official fat bike trail mileage to 24 miles! We are now grooming everything we set out to maintain this winter and the crew has been working very hard at keeping the trails dialed for everyone. The Nordic trails are in the best shape of the season with 12KM groomed for classic and skate skiing, while snowshoers have almost 40KM of groomed trails to explore. The season is shaping up nicely! This Saturday evening we have our Torchlit Trail Experience from 5-7pm. We hope to see you there! Please remember to keep an eye out for where fat bikes are restricted. There are signs on the trails in the appropriate locations and if you have any questions please stop in to the Winter Welcome Center.

GROOMING
The crew has been out all week keeping the trails groomed to perfection. Conditions will be fantastic heading into the weekend and the crew will be out hitting the trails during the day today and this evening laying down fresh corduroy and tracks for skiers, snowshoers and fat bikes. Please help remind fat bikers to consider waiting to ride until the snow has been packed and groomed and allow for the surface to set up before heading out on ride, and if conditions are too warm and surfaces begin to soften then to consider turning back. During times of moderate temperatures it's a good idea to ride early in the morning or later in the evening while temps are more favorable. The forecast for this weekend looks to be a mix of everything, but the crew will be out making sure the trails are groomed and kept in good shape!
