Kingdom Trails Names Georgia Gould as Executive Director

Dear Kingdom Trails Community,
The Kingdom Trails Association Board of Directors is thrilled to announce that Georgia Gould has been unanimously appointed as Executive Director of Kingdom Trails Association.
Georgia came to East Burke in 2018 and never left - as a resident, a parent, a business owner, a fellow landowner, and one of the most accomplished mountain bikers in the world. For the past nine months, she has served as Interim Executive Director, and in that time she has led with focus and conviction: steering KTA back to financial health, deepening relationships with the landowners whose generosity makes our trail network possible, overseeing the most successful Annual Fund in the organization's history, and making real progress on trail connectivity that will benefit riders of every ability level. She made hard calls to reduce costs and restructure the organization, while reinvesting directly in the trail crew - replacing aging equipment and outfitting the team with the tools they need to do the work well.
This was a serious and thorough search. We conducted a public forum, gathered input from more than 40 community members, landowners, trail members, and staff, and carefully reviewed everything we heard - including perspectives that challenged us and pushed us to think hard about what this organization needs. We were fortunate to attract strong candidates, and we are grateful to everyone who engaged in the process. That honest community input shaped our decision and the expectations and support structure we are putting in place as Georgia steps fully into this role.
Our strategic priorities are clear: improve and maintain world-class trails that serve riders of all abilities, grow revenue and financial sustainability, strengthen landowner relationships, invest in supporting infrastructure, and enhance the experience for every person who comes to ride. Georgia's proven track record, her passion for these trails, and her deep roots in this community make her the right person to lead that work.
The board voted unanimously. We are united and excited about what comes next.
Kingdom Trails exists because of this community - the landowners who open their land, the members who show up season after season, the volunteers, the local businesses, and the neighbors who believe in what these trails represent. Georgia believes in all of that too. We can't wait to see what she and this team build together.
With gratitude and excitement,
The Kingdom Trails Board of Directors
